This past weekend we got to spend the night up in Malad, Idaho at Brinn's family's farm house! It was so much fun. We got there Friday night and enjoyed a delicious dinner, played some horseshoes, had a rambunctious round of Balderdash, and then headed to bed in the bunk room. It was perfect, 4 bunk beds for Dan, Eric, Brinn, and I.
In the morning, Rob and Laura made us a wonderful pancake and sausage breakfast. Thanks for waking up early to make it for us!
David really was quite happy, even though he looks a little sad here. This is just a face that he pulls often. Love that little face!
We enjoyed being outside most of Saturday and the weather wasn't too bad either, just a little windy. I was glad it didn't rain though.
Brinn let us ride Pepper, one of their horses.
Rob even galloped! What a pro!
Dan and Pepper look like they were MFEO (made for each other).
Even David had a ride.
And yes, it is true, I also rode Pepper. Not bad for 6 moths pregnant hu?
It is so funny because it seems like anytime you get boys outside in the country, they throw rocks.
Brinn's family has pigeons, falcons, horses and dogs. It was fun to see all the different animals.
Eric sure looked handsome in this hat!
We took a little walk/hike to this natural spring. It was so beautiful and green.
The water was so clear. Those who walked across the rocks could take a drink right out of the spring.
The kids were pretty excited to find these little snails. Scott said he wanted to start a collection and take them all home.
After the hike, we got to see a live golden eagle. One of the ranch hands owns a golden eagle. He brought it over to the house to show everyone. It was so neat to see it up close. He even fed it a little treat, a dead baby bird. It made us all squirm a little when it shredded and gobbled it up.
Thanks to Brinn and Eric for planning such a fun weekend! And double thanks to Brinn's family who let us come up. It was so great to get out and feel the fresh air!
(We missed Mia as she had to stay home to work. Wish you could have been there Mia!)

That looks like a super fun trip. Those are some cute children, fo sho. Please keel up the blogging.
keep up--not keel up. Doesn't keel mean die or faint or something? (As in keel over?) I definitely don't want your blogging to keel.
What the heck? I just made 2 comments on this post and they both disappeared! Freaky.
Anyway, the gist of the disappearing comments: 1) That trip looks fun. 2) Those kids are cute. 3) Please keep up the blogging.
Aye aye aye. I should not be allowed on your blog anymore.
Never fear Lindsay Dear! I love each and every comment you have left!
